Preventative & Restorative Oral Health with Crowns
Dr. Smith and our dental professionals have served Arizonians for generations with top-of-the-line crowns. We personalize them to fit your damaged or decayed tooth and give confidence back every time you smile.
Our practice philosophy is to do preventative work now that saves you thousands of dollars and dental work later. Trust experts like us to take care of underlying oral health issues with crowns that align to your schedule.
Match Your Mouth with the Perfect Crown
We carry almost every crown on the dental market because we believe your smile matters in the workplace and with your kids. Based on your past dental history and current hygiene, Dr. Smith pairs you with an effective, cost-friendly option.
Our dental professionals educate you more on the different crowns during your initial appointment so you can make an expert decision for your oral health.
Gold/Metal Alloys
We often use gold crowns for patients with back teeth decay or damage. They are one of the strongest types that remove less tooth in the process.
Porcelain Crown
Front teeth oral health issues often require porcelain crowns, matching your natural tooth color. It is difficult to tell the difference without cementing metal in your mouth.
Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal
Giving the best of porcelain and gold crowns, you get durability and aesthetic protection with porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns. The best part is they cost less than either option and are viable for many patients.
Zirconia Crowns
You can take advantage of a longer-lasting, more permanent crown when Dr. Smith puts a zirconia cap over your tooth. This is an excellent option if you have a metal allergy but are not as strong as porcelain-fused-to-metal.
All-Resin
The least expensive crown option we carry, all-resin crowns, can protect your damaged or decaying tooth on a budget. We recommend being careful with these procedures, as the crown will break easily over time.
Pressed Ceramic
Similar to porcelain-fused-to-metal, it is a porcelain top fused to a ceramic base. These do not show a visible metal line and blend easily with your surrounding teeth.
EVDP’s Quick & Easy Crowns
Unlike other dental procedures, crowns are fairly painless and restore your smile by creating a personalized crown. Dr. Smith accomplishes this in only 2 appointments, so you spend less time in the chair and more time showing off your brilliant smile.
We utilize the most advanced dental technologies and install the crown when it’s most convenient for you. Come into our office with a crown appointment, and you’ll see our dental professionals with little to no wait time.
Initial Crown Consultation
Taking an in-depth X-ray of your damaged or decayed tooth, Dr. Smith makes an expert decision on your crown type. Then, he prepares the tooth by creating a custom impression of your tooth and installing a temporary crown.
Dental Laboratory
Our office sends your X-ray images and crown impression to a local laboratory to design a unique crown fit. We’ll get you scheduled once the crown is ready for the procedure appointment soon after the first one.
Temporary Crown Removal
Dr. Smith sees you into the office to remove the temporary crown and double-checks the accuracy of the dental laboratory. He ensures you get the perfect fit over your compromised tooth with a “measure twice, cut once” mentality.
Crown Installation Procedure
For a 2 to 4 hour procedure, he often numbs our patients and installs the new crown. You won’t feel anything and will walk away with a beautiful smile you can be confident with.
Dr. Smith Offers Expert Crown Advice
Our dentists may recommend different types of crowns based on your specific oral health situation. If you have an underlying tooth issue or are at-risk for getting one, Dr. Smith can take care of it with keen inisights from years of general and surgical practice.
